Westerparkstaete Mobile App

Challenge

Westerparkstaete is an office building located in Leeuwarden. They wanted an app that’d make it easy for their tenants to clock in and out of the office building hassle-free. To make sure the application is also useful during an emergency situation it also needs a complete list of all currently present tennants.

Also requested was a doorbell functionality, allowing visitors to ring and notify a tenant, letting them know the visitors are waiting in the waiting room.

Connected to the app is a neatly designed admin panel, in which admins are able to manage any tenant using the app as well as invite new tenants when necessary.

Approach

Starting the process I wanted to make sure to put a good user experience in front. By making a flowchart I made sure the application was easy to use. As the application will be used by users of all age groups it was a necessity to make sure it was accessible, understandable and most of all, not a hustle to work with. Creating a clean and understandable design was a big part of this process.

Final words

By allowing the users to have input and leave feedback, the application came out great. The final product is an easy to use and low effort clock-in system and user friendly doorbell system connected to an extensive admin panel.
